This special-edition laptop makes a very attractive performance, a cool, swooshing, with gray-and-silver case finish. The Satellite A305-S6858 features a special edition of Toshiba’s “Fusion” finish, with cartoonish gray curves on a silver background and a Toshiba logo in the lower-right corner of the lid. The curves continue inside the case, slashing across the wrist rest and even across the touch pad, though the keyboard is a shiny solid black.

Its full size keyboard is comfortable to use. The touch pad is roomy eventhough it’s interrupted by the glowing white stripe across the top of the pad. The row of touch-sensitive media controls above the keyboard can be turned off using Toshiba’s HWSetup utility.

It measures is 14.3 x 10.5 x 1.5 inches (WxDxH) and 6 lbs weight. The 15.4 inch wide-screen LCD display offers a 1,280×800 native resolution and a 1.3-megapixel Webcam above the display makes users available for video chats. The Satellite A305-S6858 provides a feature called Sleep and Charge, we can plug in and charge USB devices (iPods, mobile phones, and so on) even if the laptop is powered off, as long as it’s plugged into an outlet. This feature is turned off by default, but it can be turned on with these steps Start > All Programs > Toshiba > Utilities > HWStup > USB.

The Toshiba Satellite A305-S6858 has a FireWire connection, 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T5750 processor, integrated Intel graphics, 4GB of RAM, 64-bit Windows Vista, a 3.5-inch FM radio antenna and the sound is loud but only good for TV not for music.

Plus :

Nice design but not expensive, enough battery life, able to charge USB devices when off.

Minus :

The battery is very disappointing, it makes more weight but it has short life, the gray-and-silver case finish left fingerprints, annoying case illumination must be manually disabled, mediocre speakers.
