The LC-52D64U is designed with good slim style, thin bezel around the screen and the extra-skinny cabinet. It produces an excellent black-level performance, good picture quality, accurate color and good video processing. Its dimensions are 48.8 in x 12.8 in x 32.9 in (WxDxH) and 75 lbs weight. The space under the sreen is filled by sharps logo, a series of indicator lights, and silver gray speaker. Its remote fulled by orange backlighting and common buttons.
LC-52D64U has five preset picture modes and five colour temperature presets which can be adjusted with the low option coming closest to the 6500K standard. It also has features such as CMS (Color Management System) which let us to tweak hue and saturation for primary and secondary colors, an Active Contrast which can changed the picture on the fly and a film mode setting, and OPC (sharps light sensing circuit) which automatically adjusts the TVs light output depending on the brightness of the room.

There are four choices with HDTV sources and four aspects ratio choices available with standard-def, including a dot-by-dot mode that matches 1080i and 1080p sources directly to the display with no scaling or overscan. At the back side LC-52D64U has two HDMI inputs, an analog PC input (1,280×1,024 maximum resolution), two AV input (one with component video and composite video; another one with composite video and S-Video), an RF cable/antenna input, an optical digital audio output; a standard analog output; and an RS-323 port for interfacing with custom control systems. On the front side panel there is the third HDMI input and a AV input with component video and composite video.
