The 10.1 megapixel Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX3 has a slim design but without the optical viewfinder. It measures is 4.3 in x 1.1 in x 2.4 in (WxDxH) and 8.1 oz weight. Several buttons on the top of the camera are the power switch, pop up flash, focus point selector button, zoom switch, and mode dial. The dial only have two slots for custom settings, but the camera can store four groups of settings, one set in C1 and other three sets in C2.
The switch for the AF, AF macro, and MF modes is placed on the left side of the lens. There’s also a capture/playback switch, Quick Menu button/joystick, display, and burst shooting buttons. The fourth button navigation pad that surrounds the Menu button is a user programmable function button, which can be used to set quick review, film mode, ISO sensitivity, white balance, metering, AF mode, or intelligent exposure.
The film mode provides a variety of preset combinations of contrast, sharpness, saturation, and noise reduction settings, and we can save two custom sets. The Multi Film mode can save three variations of a single photo with the three user-selected film settings. LX3 needs 2 seconds from awake to the first shoot, 0.6 seconds to focus and shoot under optimal conditions, 1.1 seconds under low lighting, 1.9 second from shot to shot, and 2.5 seconds to take shot with flash on.

Good picture quality, fast and wide lens, compact design but comfortable enough to use.
Minus :
The Quick Menu button is not too responsive, proprietary connectors, it has a short lens and no optical viewfinder.
