Nikon D90 is the first digital SLR to support movie capture, which is filled with 18-105 mm lens, 12.3-megapixel, the newly-designed DX-format CMOS image sensor and Nikon’s proprietary EXPEED image processing concept. Nikon has upgrade the shutter durability and integrated the dust-prevention system. Nikon D90 uses the same LCD as that camera and it’s covered by a polymer rather than glass. The shape, weight, and it’s control layout and navigation made us comfortable to hold.
The D90 is the first mid-class D-SLR to offer a movie function. The large image sensor on the D90 offers higher image quality, a shallow depth of field and exceptional ISO performance while recording in low-light conditions. Unfortunately, there are some lacks at the movie mode, such as some probability mistakes when video and HDMI output work together; when connected via the mini-HDMI output, it relies on the TV to do the downconversion to HD resolution for stills and Nikon’s true 24fps video doesn’t quite match that of most TV processors’ expected 23.976fps, which can result it occasional playback stutter.

Some advanced features are packed in a ergonomic body with an intuitive operational layout, so they can be used easily. Those features are Live View, Scene Recognition, Active D-Lighting, Face Detection System, Picture Control and an ISO sensitivity range of 200-3200 (ISO 6400 equivalent on Hi1 and ISO 100 equivalent on Lo1).
