HP TouchSmart IQ506 has a large touch screen display, very useful features, and HP TouchSmart Software suite. With the suite we can get a calendar, a refrigerator-style note-taking application, an RSS reader, as well as programs for browsing and playing the digital media. More programs can be added and the icons can be placed to the TouchSmart Software launcher bar.

It measures is 21 x 2.6 x 17.4 inches (WxDxH) and 24 lbs weight. The main page load as soon as the system boots up. Non-TouchSmart Software applications open in their own window, and we can get back to the main Windows desktop with a single press

The note program is like a cross between Microsoft Paint and a refrigerator door covered in Post-it Notes. There is a one button to view a photo full screen, but we cannot rearrange the photos among different folders in the HP program itself. TouchSmart has improved the touch recognition features built into Vista. Vista based system can only recognize a single point of input, no two finger zooming. But The TouchSmart’s screen offers more resistance when we drag our finger across it.
