The XH A1 combines a wealth of features with the outstanding performance of a 3-CCD, high-definition camcorder. This camcorder is lighter than any other. All the buttons and controls are placed very well, grouped roughly by function and generally in the same locations. The butons are made in good sizes, various bumps and divots in the buttons. They provide enough tactile feedback to operate without looking. A large chunk of the camcorder’s architecture can be used to determine the speed and subtlety with which shifts occur during shooting, including focus, zoom and exposure changes, and white-balance adjustments.
